When the traditional model of masculinity feels outdated, but patriarchy still demands behaviors deeply rooted in its structure and collective subconscious, it's hard to find your way. Especially when you're a young guy. Especially when your girlfriend is a superhero. Especially when her friends are superheroes too, and the antagonist is a handsome, masculine jerk. The kind every young man thinks he should aspire to be—or at least that's what pop culture says. How do you navigate a world without clear authorities, where heroes are no longer fathers or priests but superheroes? Do you need superhuman powers to cope with reality?
